2024"Blast From the Past REWIND
5K FUN RUN
In honor of Grace Carroll benefiting North Clarion Foundation.
The MAYFEST Community Association is excited to honor Grace Carroll, a 16-year-old Sophomore from North Clarion High School who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma last June. Grace endured more than 6 months of intensive treatment with chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Recent testing has shown that she is beating Lymphoma. She is an active student, strong and resilient, and looking forward to Track and Field and Cross Country. Grace lives in Leeper, PA with her parents Kent and Nicole Carroll, and her five siblings Evalyn, Jacob, Nora, Lucille, and Willow.
The Proceeds from this year's race will benefit The North Clarion Foundation (the Foundation), a 501(c)(3) public charity established in 2014 to serve as a catalyst for expanding learning opportunities for all students in the North Clarion County School District. The Foundation raises funds to support district-wide academic initiatives, educational programs, curriculum materials, book purchases, and helps sponsor educational field trips.
Examples of its contributions include funding for VEX Robotics materials, supplies, and trips, as well as support for the Academic Sports League. Recently, the Foundation purchased a book vending machine for the elementary school, allowing students to earn tokens through good behavior to "purchase" books.
The Foundation is committed to fostering partnerships with businesses and charitable benefactors to further its mission of enhancing education. Its Administrative Board consists of five dedicated community members who take pride in supporting the district.

THE ROUTE
OUR 5K FUN RUN/WALK STARTS PROMPTLY AT 7 PM IN FRONT OF THE ST. MICHAEL'S CHURCH ON ROUTE 208. RACERS WILL TRAVEL DOWN ROUTE 208 INTO MARBLE ONTO MARBLE ROAD, WHERE RACERS WILL THEN TURN AROUND AT THE END OF MARBLE ROAD, BEHIND MONTANA'S COUNTRY CAFE', WHERE THERE IS ALSO A WATER STATION. RACERS WILL THEN TRAVEL BACK UP 208 INTO FRYBURG PAST ST.MICHAEL'S CHURCH CONTINUING ON ROUTE 208, TURNING LEFT ONTO THE OLD FRYBURG ROAD, PAST THE FRYBURG CAR WASH. RACERS WILL TURN AROUND AT THE END OF THE OLD FRYBURG ROAD, WHERE THERE IS ALSO ANOTHER WATER STATION. RACERS WILL RUN BACK UP OLD FRYBURG ROAD ONTO ROUTE 208 AND BACK TO THE FINISH LINE AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE ST.MICHAEL'S CHURCH PARKING LOT ON THE LEFT OF ROUTE 208.
